About Barbara

Barbara graduated from psychology at York University in 1979 and worked as a social worker with children and families for many years. In 1992 after completing her Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto
she began her private practice working with children, couples and families. She is an accredited Family Law Mediator, as well as a skilled and experienced individual and couple therapist and child therapist.
Barbara works with a number of Employee Assistance Programs in the Toronto and Peel Region such as school boards and major corporations in the region. She is a frequent speaker at Separated Anonymous Seminars at Square One in Mississauga and a workshop and group leader on separation and divorce at the Halton Women's Information Centre in Oakville.In addition to her professional experience Barbara is the mother of a teenager and has been through most of what parenting has to offer!
